How to play

1

Build. Put parts on the board. They snap into good spots.

2

Turn. Drag the crank around with your finger or mouse. You can also tap Turn.

3

Change it. Move, swap, or take away parts. Try until it works.

Belt ideas

Open beltThe two pulleys turn the same way.
Crossed beltThe two pulleys turn different ways.
Small โ†’ bigThe big pulley turns more slowly.
Big โ†’ smallThe small pulley turns faster.

Belts can carry a turn across a big gap. The pulleys do not need to touch.

In build goals, each gear, pulley, belt, or axle counts as one part.

Use the Machine Meter

It counts turns and shows speed and direction. Tap Zero, turn the machine, and compare the crank with the toy.

Try an experiment: Run the machine and save Trial A. Change one thing. Run it again and save Trial B. The game compares what changed.
